Nissan Weave
The Nissan Weave concept is a creation of Singapore based designer Nigel Chen. The concept is designed specifically for the high-rise urban settings of large cities and high population density areas – like Singapore.
The Republic of Singapore, is an island country consisting of 4.8 million people within the city-state. As a city state, spanning 26 miles (42 km) in overall length, 10.5 miles (17 km) in width and an overall land area of 273 square miles (704 km2) , building space is scarcely limited, thus high rise buildings make up the largest segment of property development to house the majority of the population. As car ownership increases, so do the problems for motorists.
In the coming years more and more cities across the world are due to start imposing tariffs, such as carbon emission tax and congestion charges, to reduce traffic numbers. The Weave, is designed with these factors in mind.
The Nissan Weave concept is a plug-in electric car that has a 1+1 tandem seating configuration with a very small overall footprint to weave through traffic and tight spots within cities. The almost 360 degree glasshouse of the Weave also helps the driver to easily navigate through tight spaces.
The driving range per charge of the Weave is 45 miles (70km), which is easily sufficient for daily commutes to and from work.
The attractive and unique styling of the Nissan Weave concept helps to prove that just because a vehicle is an environmentally friendly city car it doesn’t have to be boring.

Entry to the Weave concept is through a pair of scissor opening doors, which double as the the side windows when closed. Inside are the tandem seats which are each surrounded by their own protective hoops built into the body. The dash display of the Nissan Weave concept consist of a full digital display.
