Honda CR-Z Sport

Honda has announced that the all-new 2011 Honda CR-Z sport hybrid coupe is set to arrive at dealers on August 24, 2010. The Japanese automaker has revealed that the CR-Z will be available for manufacturer’s suggested retail price starting at $19,200 plus a destination and handling charge of $750 for a total of $19,950 or about €16,275.

The 2011 Honda CR-Z comes with a 1.5-liter iVTEC 4-cylinder engine capable of producing 102 hp.  Combined to a 20 HP electric motor, the total output sums up to 122 HP and 128 lb-ft of torque at 1,000 to 1,500 rpm. A sport-focused, six-speedmanual transmission is a first for any mass-produced hybrid. Available as an option is an automatic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) priced at $650 and includes steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

Honda offers the CR-Z in two trim levels. First comes the CR-Z (base) with standard features that include AM/FM/CD/USB audio system with six speakers, automatic climate control, power windows and door locks, remote entry, cruise control, and more.

The feature-rich CR-Z EX further adds 360-watt AM/FM/CD high-power audio system with seven speakers including a subwoofer , bluetooth, leather-wrapped steering wheel and more. The CR-Z also receives for $1,800 the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System  with Voice Recognition.

The 2011 Honda CR-Z sport hybrid coupe comes equipped with a bunch of safety technologies like Vehicle Stability Assist, standard dual-stage, multiple-threshold front airbags, standard front-side airbags with passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS) and lots more.
